Asbestos and Human Health

Asbestos belongs to the group of carcinogenic substances. It primarily causes lung diseases (pulmonary fibrosis), pleural diseases, and malignant tumors. The danger lies mainly in the long latency period between exposure and the onset of the disease.

Work involving asbestos must be carried out in such a way that all requirements for ensuring the safety and health of workers and the surrounding area are met.
