We carried out the professional demolition of a warehouse building in Ostrava.
The demolished structure—the warehouse—was a single-story storage facility without a basement, measuring 145 x 207 meters.
First and foremost, it was necessary to clear the premises and prepare the warehouse for mechanical demolition and dismantling. Subsequently, the glass skylight panels in bays 1 and 2 were removed using two mobile cranes. This was followed by manual demolition work—the demolition of the north wall of the hall and the mechanical demolition of the walls in bays 1 and 2 on the east and west sides.
This was followed by the mechanical demolition of Ships 3–6 using a demolition machine with a long arm (23 m) equipped with demolition shears. All hall equipment was dismantled during the demolition work using heavy machinery, and the resulting waste was sorted by type.
The concrete demolition debris was sorted, loaded, and transported to an interim storage site, where it was crushed and prepared for further use. The non-recyclable portion of the debris was disposed of in accordance with applicable legislation at a controlled landfill. The demolition waste included, among other things, ceramic, wood, and insulation materials.
