We carried out the mechanical demolition of a former cafeteria building and related structures located on the grounds of the National Stud Farm in Kladruby nad Labem, s.p.o.
The demolished structures consisted of three buildings of varying ages (a cafeteria, a boiler room, and a carriage house) of differing construction (brick, metal, wood) and aesthetic quality, which were located next to the original (recently renovated) historic buildings and structures dating back to the early 16th century.
Prior to the start of the mechanical demolition itself, building materials containing hazardous substances—ASBESTOS—were removed from the structures; these were located in the exterior walls and ceilings of the buildings.
The designated structures were subsequently demolished through gradual dismantling using heavy machinery (excavators equipped with demolition shears, etc.).
The construction debris was sorted, crushed at an approved site, and then transported as recycled material for further use.
The structures also contained non-recyclable materials, such as the aforementioned asbestos-containing materials (EZALIT cladding panels) or thermal insulation in suspended ceilings, wooden structures with contaminated coatings, asphalt roofing felt, and waste containing mercury. These materials were disposed of in accordance with applicable laws and standards at a designated site.
After the structures were removed, the site was leveled with imported, sorted soil and seeded with grass.
The project also included the necessary relocation of utility lines and minor road modifications.
Demolition work took place while other parts of the site remained fully operational.
